About Jessica Sales

Orphaned at six years old Jessica Sales spent the next twelve years in the foster care system. During this time she searched for one thing-happiness and a place where she could belong.

From grade through high school she excelled in everything she put her mind and body to.

With ease she made the cheerleader squad, placed number one on the debating team and won, several time, the state chess championship in her age group. One time even beating the World Grand Master. She even won several barrel racing championships when living with the Estes family in Leander, Texas.

The day after Jessica received her high school diploma, as valedictorian, she enlisted in the Army. Again, she outshone everyone, even the men, in all aspects of training and finally finds her home.

After several overseas deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan, she was the first woman accepted to the prestigious sniper school at Fort Benning.

After multiple dangerous missions she was approached by a man from The Company, a super-secret agency within the government. After a few years with them, while on an assignment in Southeast Asia she was captured and tortured only to be rescued by several friends. This resulted in her being let go with a generous severance package.

Disgusted, she expatriated to the south of France and where she bought a modern style chateau, hidden away from the world.

While recovering, physically and mentally, Jessica was approached by several representatives from a collective only known as The Consortium.

She’d heard more than knew about them in her time with her previous employer. This group, with many governments approval, resolve problems that couldn’t be dealt with through normal channels.

Once certain conditions were met she agreed to work with the organization. The major consideration: she picked who to work with and the project she’d take on.

With the help of several individuals she embarks on a new career. One that will help make people, not necessarily governments, safe.

Has she exchanged one controlling employer for another? Only time would tell.

All the while, one question sits in the back of her mind. Who can I trust?
